| Penarth is a small
Victorian sea side resort with useful shops and pleasant
restaurants and is well known for its parks and gardens.

Medieval Village, about 2 miles away; step
back in time in this realistic evocation of a

are two islands that can be seen from Rock House, the tiny island of Flat Holm just five miles away, is the nearer and the Welsh one, (the other is Steep Holm,) It has been a sanctuary for Vikings, silver miners, monks and smugglers.
