Hi All,
A chance to enjoy the live Jazz performance and do some sketching at the Cafe Jazz . Mon 17th is ' Jazz Attic jam session, a good mix of musicians only 2.00 a head. Tuesday 18th ' Swing and Trad' at 3.50 per person. I've offered both dates and we'll go with the most popular nearer the time. I favour the Monday session as the artists change so there'll be more variety. The venue is happy for us to be there and tell me as that we'll be there early there should be no problem getting seats. Musicians come on from 8.30, so it is a bit later than the usual get together but it could be worth it; early birds could draw each other as a warm up. I'm suggesting we meet at 8.00. As it's a late start please let me know if you'll be coming. I will send out a reminder nearer the time.
Thanks Lesley lesley.dearn@btinternet.com
Hello everyone,
I try and go to the RHS Show each year. There are interesting things to draw, crowds of people of all ages, plants, show gardens etc. Exact day to meet will depend on the weather so I'll post a date and meeting point closer to the date, (once I know the weather forecast).
Please email me closer to the time if you are interested in making up a group to meet up and sketch there. If the weather is as wonderful as last year we could organise a picnic??
Note: There is an entrance fee
Meet at the far end of the car
park of the Captains Wife pub, Beach Road, Swanbridge,
Penarth at 7pm for a drawing session on the beach which
has views across the Bristol Channel and Sully Island.
There will probably be a charge of 1 to park. Sunset will
be around 8.20 pm so that should give a good hour to draw
the views or whatevers on the beach. Retire to the pub
for refreshments and a look at the drawings.
Open to all.
On Thursday 22nd April Pat Aithie
will be hosting an evening looking at some drawings in
art history. 10 Kyveilog Street
